A field of Crocus! by ArtBYbeverly A field of Crocus! by ArtBYbeverly

One of my first ever pastel paintings & floral abstract!

The purple Crocus flower, well known for it's stamen in the Culinary world as saffron, the most expensive spice in the world! This painting is already framed in a beautiful white frame, with proper spacers and acid free backing. The frame measures 16 x 20 inches.

MEDIUM: Soft Pastels
SURFACE: Arches watercolor hot press 100% cotton
SIZE: 12 x 16 inches

Oh my! This crocus is simply delish! The detail is amazing! :wow: (I should know; I've studied a little botany , though a rusted old bus I may be, nowadays!)

I really need to visit your galleries more often! :happybounce: Such jollification to be found, here! :iconcheerplz:

Oh, I notice you've been under the weather, of late! :nuu: Still waiting for surgery kitten-on-a-ledge-tyle, I know only too well how awful it can be, feeling ill!

Thank you so much for your lovely message about my painting "A field of Crocus!" I really appreciate it!

Its the first time I've been online for a while due to my nerve condition, but I wanted to reply to your message because It made me smile, and I thank you for that!!

I hope you are doing okay too, as you mentioned you were awaiting surgery...have you heard yet? :cuddle:

You're very welcome, Beverly! When I read that you had been unwell, I knew that I must leave a 'get well' message with you! Here's hoping that your nerve condition will soon dissipate, leaving you feeling refreshed and recharged! :flowerpot:

As for me, I am quite well, except for the minor discomfort I receive, whenever my abdomen decides to prank me! :nuu: :giggle: The issue itself hasn't gotten any better; nor has it deteriorated! :phew: In short, I have been pretty fortunate, to date! ;)
Now, just to hear from my surgeon... :iconwaitingplz:
All the best, for your own recovery, too! :iconhug1plz:

Aww you're so lovely, thank you!! :cuddle: Yes I'm hoping the same, because I miss doing my artwork soooo much lol, and really just doing anything!!

Aw, you have tummy problems, that's no good hon I can empathise with you there!! I am glad that the issue hasn't gotten worse, and that at least its stable...but, I am looking forward to hearing what the surgeon says, if its alright that you let me know?  You can note me if you wish, :please: :)  All the best for that hon, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!

:cuddle:  Have a wonderful day lovely!! xo

You're very welcome! I read your recent pain-filled journal  Hi dear friends, just an update!First of all, I really really want to say from the bottom of my heart, how much I appreciate all of your beautiful well wishes, messages and words of encouragement and strength...they really have made it so much easier to bear this incredibly miserable journey, these past 8 weeks!!! Thank you all so much!!! :cuddle:
Honestly and openly...I will never take my bed for granted ever again LOL, I miss it so much :aww:  8 weeks and counting since I've actually gotten to lay down, but I am gaining hope a little each day, thankfully!  I went for physio therapy yesterday for the first time, because I was in so much pain I wasn't able too before, and for the fact, I couldn't drive there either.  Anyway, it went well although I was scared I might set myself backwards but no, it went well!  I'm a bit sore today, but managed to sleep well in the chair :)  More therapy next week :)
Hey, if anybody wants a great tip if they have neck problems and cannot lie down, but
. *OW!*

Here's hoping that our sad little frames get themselves into some perspective - before you find yourself becoming estranged from your man (because of your injured nerves) and bed and I walk about at half my usual height (4ft, 11in), whenever I find myself doubled over! :nuu:

It's no fun, being sick! :iconhug1plz:
To be sure, I will let you know how I go (once the surgeon has done his/her magic)! ;) God knows, it took my primary care a week to advise me that I'm glucose intolerant! :tears: (I'm hoping my surgeon is a bit quicker, when it comes to treating patients! :fingerscrossed:) :giggle:

Speaking of illness, do you know how long it may take, before you and your special one can snuggle again (in bed)? Being partnered myself, I pray that you'll both be enjoying some magic again soon... :huggle:

Keeping you in my prayers, too! :iconhugehug1::iconhugehug2:

Aww thank you so much for your lovely message...I'm slowly getting there, although still not able to lay down flat yet.  I can possibly bank on perhaps another week or two before its completely back to normal, so not too bad!  Therapy is helping thankfully, and of course the pain medication to help calm the nerve down :)

Gosh I'm so sorry to hear it took them a week to find you were glucose intolerant :( you could have been on medications to help stabilise that already :( Hopefully now you are, and getting back to better health with that!  :cuddle: Yes, I hope for your sake your surgeon takes care of things right away for you, the wait is the worst I think!

Take care hon, and hey my husband and I are still good, still very much in love and look forward to "time" together :) Thanks for caring sweetheart!!

Keeping you also in my prayers :cuddle:

:iconmostwelcomeplz:, my dear! That is good news! :w00t: I'm so glad the therapy, combined with the medication, is helping! :la: Nerve damage is no fun! :(

Yeah, I was informed on the day, that it would be about 24-36 hours, before the results would be back. Thinking it wise to wait a little longer, I decided to ring a couple days later (thinking that the doctor would have read said results! Unfortunately, I felt it necessary to call back a couple days later - with the same result! He hadn't yet read how everything went! :| Then, on the following Tuesday or Wednesday, he called me on my cellphone, to inform me of my intolerance toward glucose! Fortunately, it's only a matter of portioning servings; otherwise, I think I would have screamed! :nuu: As for the surgeon, hmmm, yes, I hope that goes at least a little better, once the time comes, for me to go under the knife! :fingerscrossed:  Unfortunately, my disabled husband and I cannot afford insurance, so need to be doubly careful, when it comes to being treated for illness! :( The premiums are so dreadfully high, nowadays! :stare:

Oh yeah, the waiting game... The ultimate kill-joy! :steaming: :frustrated:

However, I'm stoked that your husband is so understanding! :w00t: Sounds like we've both landed ourselves a good catch! :fish: ;) =D :highfive:

:iconsuperwelcomeplz: and likewise! :glomp: (Although I hope that glomp wasn't too hard on you!)

But of course! ;) Keeping each other in one another's prayers! :cuddle:

Oh dear hon, I'm sorry the doctor hadn't even read the results when you called, even after waiting a few days to call!! :angry
I'm sure things will be much better when you have your surgery, and lets hope its soon so you'll be well on your way to recover quickly enough!!

Yes, having affordable health care insurance isn't for the faint hearted! Its not as affordable as it seems...we were lucky in California to get it through my husbands employment, but I really feel for people who can't afford it, it just doesn't seem fair!  Here in NZ, they cannot refuse you treatment if you don't have coverage, although getting an appointment at a public hospital can be a lengthy wait, you know you will still be able to get help and treatment!  Yes premiums are ridiculously high in some places :(
Aww thanks hon, and yes we both landed ourselves a good catch Fishing Fish lol ;)  ShakeHighfive

Yes, you are most certainly in my prayers hon, and thank you for the same!! :cuddle:
