Well, this was an ambitious undertaking, but then again, that's me, I love a challenge! I really like how it turned out, with painstaking layers of color and depth starting from the lightest value to the darkest, as you do in colored pencils. I couldn't include the original, because I would have needed to crop too much of my drawing out...but you can see the WIP 1 & 2 for the original reference.
Anyway, The drawing was rendered freehand like all my other artwork, with a ruler and careful observation. My artwork was drawn with an HB pencil only, and I used Prismacolor and Derwent colored pencils to complete it. The paper was nothing special, just a sketch block for dry medium usage.
Full Credit goes to the owner of the original artwork, (no name is given on the back or front of the calendar) and I believe it was done in oils or acrylics.
